General Manager

Gulliver’s Valley is seeking an experienced, energetic General Manager to lead the day‑to‑day running of our theme park, rides, accommodation, retail, catering, events, and entertainment. You’ll oversee four Heads of Department and a seasonal team of around 150 people, ensuring safe, smooth, and memorable experiences for all guests.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all aspects of health & safety, ride safety, food safety, and fire safety.
  • Oversee daily operations across rides, shows, accommodation, retail, and food & beverage.
  • Manage, coach and support four Heads of Department, line managers, supervisors and a large seasonal team.
  • Champion exceptional guest service and resolve guest feedback professionally.
  • Drive commercial performance across admissions, retail, catering, accommodation, and events.
  • Work closely with central support teams and external stakeholders.

Working Pattern

Full‑time role including weekends, bank holidays, school holidays, and peak trading periods. Participation in the Duty Manager rota is required.

You will rotate through key park areas, supporting daily operations and learning to lead teams in:

  • Catering: Ensuring families stay fuelled for fun
  • Retail: Helping guests take home magical memories
  • Rides: Supporting ride operations and guest safety
  • Events: Assisting with seasonal shows, celebrations, and special activities
  • Entertainment Experiences: Working alongside characters and live entertainment teams

You'll also:

  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Support supervisors and senior managers
  • Lead by example in a fast‑paced environment
  • Help create magical experiences for our young guests (and their grown‑ups!)
