Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer here at Gulliver’s Valley in South Yorkshire, you will ensure that our Rides and Attractions, equipment and facilities are held to a high standard of safety and efficiency.
You will have a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering and the ability to carry out planned/un-planned safety inspection and maintenance work on amusement devices. You will have a proven track record of fault finding, diagnosis and replacing of mechanical components and the following risk assessments and method statements.
This role will involve daily safety checking of equipment prior to use under a planned preventive maintenance system
You will bring a wealth of maintenance experience to the team and be able to carry out general maintenance and support for the Theme Park.

We are recruiting an experienced Activities Manager to take our day-time & overnight adventure to the next level. As part of the Resort leadership team, you'll lead the team to bring alive our experiences to include Theme Park Daytime & Resort Guests, Activity Sleepovers and badge groups. Our range of activities offer a perfect blend of excitement, exploration, and comfort. With a wide range of accommodation options to suit every group, from cosy ensuite units to outdoor glamping, we provide the ideal base for adventure and a great chance for families to experience and discover new things. Some of our core offer includes Well Being sessions, Bushcraft, Climbing Walls, Archery, Nature Detectives, Reptile Encounters & Disc Golf.
You will ensure the
planning, training, implementation & health & safety measures happen to
enable the smooth running of the Activities & Experience programme.
You will be responsible for driving & maintaining the highest standards in
delivery of both the activity & experience programme. This role will be key
to plan, motivate and develop team members associated within these areas and to
drive and develop demand. There is further opportunities to
collaborate with the Experience Director to influence and enhance the
commercial management of the programme and the offer into the future. The
ability to prioritise a demanding workload in scheduling multi-venues teams is
essential.
You will support with facilitating and developing a fun culture that promotes
and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team,
whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are
maintained. If you have an entertainment background, this would be
useful, but not essential.

Our family Theme Park Resorts are thriving, which means we need more great leaders for the future. Following the huge success of our Trainee Manager programme, we are delighted to announce its return, now in its 11th year!
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing business in a challenging leadership role at one of Gulliver’s theme park resorts at Warrington, Milton Keynes, Matlock Bath or Rother Valley.
With a hands-on approach and excellent communication skills, you’ll be used to organising and dealing with customers, be innovative with your ideas and have an infectious enthusiasm that engages and inspires those around you.
The Trainee Manager programme is structured over a 12 month period and will include:
- A number of placements across different areas of the business
- A unique industry training programme to develop skills and knowledge.
- Senior level mentors from within the business
- Ownership of bespoke projects which will challenge skills and develop learning.
You’ll be a high energy, ambitious individual who is prepared to work hard to gain experience and develop new skills in order to progress into more senior leadership roles within the business.
You will be able to demonstrate evidence of a strong work ethic from your previous experiences, powerful interpersonal prowess, and an equally talented vibe for delivering the very best of guest experiences.
The ability to work across all of our UK locations during the 12 month training period is essential, during which time accommodation will be provided.
