Description

The RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre, in partnership with Gulliver’s World, has a rewarding part-time opportunity, working as a Heritage Centre guide.

We are looking for candidates with a keen historical interest and a dedication to furthering existing knowledge, in line with our Association mission statement of ‘Keeping the Memories Alive’.

With strong interpersonal skills and a communicative competence, you will take on a trusted position as part of a multi-dimensional team, committed to delivering on informational and historical values, with the opportunity for developed involvement in an educational capacity.

Covering the duties of Heritage Centre Guide across weekends, this role will involve interacting with a wide range of visitors from: military veterans and their families; military aviation enthusiasts; to those with a general interest in RAF Burtonwood.


Requirement / Qualifications

An emotional awareness and empathetic demeanour is therefore key to the customer service skills that are required within this role; ensuring the varying needs of Heritage Centre visitors are positively met.

Full training will be given to the successful candidate, with an ideal candidate demonstrating a general interest in local history.

Sporting a big smile and offering a warm welcome, your day will typically start at the front gates, assisting guests with their smooth and swift entry into the theme park.
